1st Lieutenant Alexander E. Wetherbee, U.S. Marine Corps Award
This award is given in honor of U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lieutenant Alexander E. Wetherbee who was killed in action September 12, 2004, while serving as a platoon commander, in Anbar province in Iraq. Lt. Wetherbee graduated from McLean High School in 1995 where he was a standout lacrosse player and captain of the team his senior year. This award recognizes the senior boys lacrosse player who best demonstrates leadership, courage, commitment and dedication to the improvement of his team and the sport of lacrosse.
